Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Architecture & Canonical Modelling
• Define enterprise-wide data domains, entities, and canonical models
• Maintain conceptual and logical models aligned to business processes

• Design and govern enterprise data flows standards (API-based, event-driven, batch)

• Define data stewardship and accountability across business functions
• Ensure lineage visibility and system relationship clarity
Example: Enable tracing a dashboard KPI back to its originating source system and owner.
Governance & Integrity Standards
• Define master data management principles and domain ownership
• Establish standards for lineage, metadata, access control, and GDPR compliance
• Define KPI and semantic consistency standards across business units
Example: Ensure customer master data is governed consistently across business applications, data platform and reporting systems.
Architectural Roadmap & Tooling
• Own the enterprise data architecture roadmap
• Identify structural gaps and prioritise architectural improvements
• Push roadmap items into execution backlogs (Data Engineering, Salesforce, NetSuite, etc.)
• Evaluate and recommend enterprise data tools, platforms, and integration approaches
Example: Recommend adoption of a metadata/catalogue platform and coordinate rollout across teams.
